Conditions of Sale

Placing an order

Once you have placed an order, our system will automatically send you an e-mail specifying the products you have purchased and your chosen delivery address.

Payment options

On our website you can pay by MobilePay and the following types of Danish and international payment cards: Dankort, VISA/Dankort – VISA, Mastercard, JBC and Union pay.

Order confirmation/receipt

Once you have placed an order at, a receipt will be sent to you, and this receipt will be valid as your proof of purchase for the product. Afterwards, you cannot view the receipt through our website. If you wish to receive a copy, please send an e-mail to Please keep in mind that our warranties and our practice in a number of respects ensure you additional rights under the Danish Sale of Goods Act.


All prices include 25% Danish VAT.

Cancelling an order

As long as the product has not yet been shipped, you can cancel an order by contacting us via e-mail or telephone. Once you have done this, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from us. Customized orders cannot be cancelled.

Shipping and handling


All purchases that include delivery are charged with a shipping fee according to the size and weight of the item and its destination. You can always avoid the shipping fee by collecting the item in person.

Shipping costs in Denmark

Smaller items are charged with a shipping fee of 50,- dkk.
Larger items including dining tables, benches and shelf modules are charged with a shipping fee ranging from 300,- to 1200,- dkk.

Shipping costs in the EU

Smaller items are charged with a shipping fee of 250,- dkk.
Larger items including dining tables, benches and shelf modules are charged with a shipping fee ranging from 500,- to 3500,- dkk.

You can see the shipping fee in our web shop before placing the order. You can also choose to collect the item in person at one of our three addresses in Copenhagen.

In the rare event that your delivery address is located further away than standard shipping fees, you may be contacted regarding an additional fee. In this case you can always choose to cancel your order.

Right of return/cancellation

If you are having second thoughts about the product purchased, you are allowed a full refund, as long as you return it no later than 14 days after the order date. Specially designed products are not covered by the right of return. Please contact us to request a return. Once this request has been received, you can go ahead and return the product through Post Nord or by way of a carrier to our Nicolaj Bo workshop address:

All costs associated with returned products are covered by the client. When you return a product and exercise your right of withdrawal, this can only take place in case the product is returned essentially in the same condition and quantity, as when you received it. Therefore, the right of cancellation is annulled if you use the product in a way that manifestly reduces its value.

When you withdraw your purchase, the amount is returned to the bank account you have given. Please note that we do not accept packages sent as cash-on-delivery.

Right of complaint

Nicolaj Bo offers a right of complaint in accordance with applicable laws. All our products come with a 24 month right of complaint. That means that you can either have the product repaired, exchanged, the money returned or obtain a discount, depending on the situation at hand. Obviously, the complaint must be rightful, and the damage in question should not be a consequence of incorrect use of the product, lack of maintenance or any other damaging behavior. Your complaint must be lodged within a “reasonable” time frame from the moment the flaw has come to your attention.

If your complaint is justified, we always reimburse your Post Nord shipping costs, but we do not accept products sent as cash-on-delivery. Rather we ask you to kindly return the product wrapped in secure packaging, enclosing a receipt as proof of your return shipping costs, so we can transfer the amount to you. When you do business with us and use the website, your information is collected and used to customize and improve your user experience on the website and the customer experience in general.

Below we have specified which information is collected, the purpose thereof and the third parties which have access to the information. In accordance with the EU Data Protection Regulation we would also like to remind you of your data rights as a user of the website and as a client with us.

The purpose is to be able to recognize your device, remember preferred settings and carry out statistics. Cookies do not contain malicious code such as virus. This takes place for instance when you access the website content, if you sign up for our newsletter, use other services or make a purchase through our website.

The following information is also processed, insofar as you give your explicit consent to it and type the information in yourself: Name, telephone number, e-mail address and payment information. This would take place when you make a purchase or book a meeting.


We have taken technical and organizational security measures aimed at protecting your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, disclosure, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, abuse and against all other unlawful forms of processing.


The information is used to identify you as a user and to register your purchases and payments as well as to deliver the services you have requested, such as sending you our newsletter. Furthermore, we use the information to improve our services and our content.

Data retention period

Data about your use of the website, the ads you receive and may click on, geographical location, gender and age, among others will be shared with third parties, insofar as this information is known. In the section “Cookies” you can see which third parties this refers to. The information is used for targeting ads. Additionally, we collaborate with a number of third parties in order to process statistics. These third parties only make use of this information on behalf of us and they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Collaboration with third parties

We only pass on personal information such as names and e-mail addresses to our trusted suppliers of for instance shipping services. We only use data processors within the EU or in countries which ensure that your data is adequately protected.

Insight and lodging a complaint

You have a right to be informed of which of your personal we process. At any time, you have the right to object to the use of information. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data and at any time you have the possibility to have your information corrected or deleted.
