Conditions of Sale & Privacy Policy

We treat your rights and personal data with respect. Below you can find information as to your rights and conditions that apply as defined by our own guarantees, Danish Purchasing Law, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Terms and Conditions of Trade

Placing an order: As soon as you’ve placed an order our system will automatically send you an email containing an overview of the products you have ordered as well as the shipping address submitted.

Payment methods: We accept MobilePay, as well as the following Danish and international credit cards: Dankort, VISA/Dankort, VISA, Mastercard, JBC and Union Pay.

Order confirmation/receipt: When purchasing items on nicolajbo.dk you will be sent a receipt, which also serves as the proof of purchase for your products. Your receipt cannot be found via the website afterwards. Should you wish a new copy of your receipt, please send us an email at info@nicolajbo.dk. Please be aware that in several respects our guarantees and procedures extend your rights beyond the legal minimum.

All prices shown include 25% VAT/GST.

Cancellation of orders: Different conditions apply regarding stock goods vis-a-vis adapted products. Orders for stock goods that have not yet been shipped can be cancelled via email or telephone. You will thereafter receive a confirmation email. Orders that have been tailor-made or adapted cannot be cancelled, as they are specially produced to the specific order and are not goods we otherwise have in stock. All tables in our webshop are treated as tailor-made, and therefore the otherwise applicable 14 day right of withdrawal period is not valid in such a case.

Delivery: All purchases that include delivery are charged with a shipping fee according to the size and weight of the item, as well as its destination. You can always save the shipping fee by collecting the item in person.

Shipping costs within Denmark: Smaller items are charged with a shipping fee of 50,- DKK to a parcel shop and 90,- DKK for private delivery.

Larger items including dining tables, benches and shelf modules are charged with a shipping fee ranging from 300,- to 1200,- DKK.

Shipping costs within the EU (outside of DK):
Smaller items are charged with a shipping fee of 250,- DKK.
Larger items including dining tables, benches and shelf modules are charged with a shipping fee ranging from 500,- to 3500,- DKK.

You can see the shipping fee in our webshop before placing the order. You can also choose to collect the item in person at one of our three addresses in Copenhagen.

In the rare event that your delivery address is located farther away than standard shipping fees account for, you may be contacted regarding an additional fee. In this case you can always choose to cancel your order.

Delivery outside of the EU: Please send us a query to info@nicolajbo.dk

Lead times: If we have your order in stock, we strive to send it as soon as possible. This means, that you normally will receive your order within 3-9 days. Otherwise, we’ll write to you. If your order isn’t in stock we will begin production without hesitation and the lead time will be approximately 2 weeks. You will receive this information via email.

Tables and benches are specially produced for each individual order. Lead times can thus extend to 4 weeks. We will contact you before shipping.

Return Policy: You can return goods within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund. We are unable to offer refunds on custom made items. Please contact us and ask for a return. Once we have confirmed your request, please return the goods by post or a shipping service to our workshop address:

Nicolaj Bo
Avedøreholmen 78B
2650 Hvidovre

You as purchaser must carry the expense of shipping when returning goods. A prerequisite for returning goods is that they arrive in a reasonably identical condition to that when first received. The right to return goods thus becomes obsolete if they have been used in such a way as to diminish their value. When returning an item, you will receive the purchase sum on a bank account specified by you or on the payment card used in the original transaction. Please note that we do not accept “receiver pays” consignments or unstamped packages.

Guarantee: In accordance with applicable law, a guarantee period of 24 months applies to all goods sold by Nicolaj bo. Accordingly, we will repair, exchange, return your payment funds or allow a rebate on goods depending on the specific situation. As a precondition the guarantee must of course still be in effect, and the defect must not have arised by improper use, lack of maintenance of the product, or any other behaviour causing damage. You must send in a claim within a “reasonable” timeframe after discovery of a product’s defect. Should a guarantee case become effectual, we will always refund your shipping costs with PostNord. We do not accept goods sent as “receiver pays”. We would ask instead that you ship the relevant goods back to us in correct packaging and in addition that you send us a shipping receipt, such that we may reimburse you. Goods returned are to be shipped to:

Nicolaj Bo™
Teglholmen 27, hal 3
DK – 2450 Kbh SV

We require that you precisely describe the problem with the goods being returned.
