Sjællands Odde is a scenic peninsula and a popular summer house area in Northwestern Zealand. Overlooking the beach, a summer house is nestled in nature. The goal was to create a tranquil oasis that allows for relaxation far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Previously, an older summer house stood on the property, but it has now been replaced by an architect-designed house, with special attention to details and bespoke carpentry solutions.
To create a contrast with the house’s large windows, the kitchen is crafted from dark fumed oak, adding depth to the room. The dark fumed oak provides variation in the wood, creating visual interest, while the darker color adds a sense of uniformity.
The kitchen’s tall cabinets are accentuated by an open niche in natural oak, adding depth and contrast between the two surfaces. The niche, equipped with shelves, an electrical outlet, and integrated LED lighting, provides the ideal setting for a coffee station.
The Stiletto kitchen island is elevated on legs, elegantly hovering above the floor like a piece of furniture, seamlessly connecting the kitchen and living room. The island features a bronzed brass sink and faucet, creating a warm contrast to the Pietra Grey marble countertop.
The bathrooms and wardrobe are also crafted from dark fumed oak and Pietra Grey marble, like the kitchen, ensuring visual coherence throughout the home.
The wardrobes in the summer house feature veneered cabinets, solid wood drawers, and brass clothing rods, highlighted by integrated LED lighting.
The bathroom is designed with a large shower niche on one side, a toilet on the opposite, and a central bathroom cabinet. The bathroom cabinet is equipped with double sinks, integrated VOLA fixtures, and two spacious solid wood drawers for storage.
